1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, accessing, or using Closed Circuit Live Stream (the “Service”), you enter into a legally binding agreement with Closed Circuit (“we”, “us”, or “our”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must immediately discontinue use and delete the application from your device.
These Terms incorporate Apple Inc.’s Standard End User License Agreement (EULA). Where applicable, our terms provide specific privacy and group safety protections tailored to private video streaming.
2. Eligibility & Account Security
Minimum Age: You must be at least 13 years of age (or the legal age in your jurisdiction) to register an account. Family groups involving children must be created and supervised by an adult parent or guardian.
Email Verification: All accounts require a valid email address verified through a confirmation link. Unverified accounts cannot broadcast or purchase event tickets.
Account Confidentiality: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities under your account. Notify us at support@cclivestream.com if you detect unauthorized access.
3. Creator & Viewer Roles
Closed Circuit offers two primary account roles:
Content Creators
Authorized to create private Family or Affinity groups, start live video broadcasts, define event ticket pricing in virtual tokens, invite members, and receive payout distributions.
Viewers
Authorized to accept group invitations, purchase in-app tokens through Apple StoreKit, redeem tickets to enter live creator events, and participate in closed streams.
4. Private Groups & 6-Member Limits
6-Member Capacity: To ensure high-quality live video transmission and low latency on mobile networks, private groups are limited to a maximum capacity of six (6) members per broadcast session.
Invitations: Creators invite users using their verified email address or username. Prospective members may accept or decline any invitation.
Roster Control: Members can leave any group at any time. Content creators maintain administrative rights to remove any member from their group.
5. Live Broadcasting Rules
Single Active Broadcast: Content Creators may only broadcast one live event at any given time. Simultaneous multiple streams from a single account are prohibited.
Hardware Permissions: Broadcasting requires iOS Camera and Microphone access. Streams are transmitted in real time to invited members only.
No Unauthorized Recording: Viewers are strictly prohibited from screen recording, capturing, downloading, or redistributing private broadcasts without the explicit permission of the creator and participants.
6. User Content & Zero-Tolerance Policy
In compliance with Apple App Store Review Guideline 1.2, Closed Circuit strictly enforces a zero-tolerance policy against objectionable content and abusive behavior.
Users must not broadcast, transmit, or share:
- Sexually explicit, pornographic, or obscene content, or any depiction of minors in danger.
- Harassment, hate speech, bullying, defamation, or threats of physical harm.
- Depictions of violence, cruelty to animals, or self-harm.
- Copyright-infringing media (e.g., re-streaming commercial TV or live sports without authorization).
- Unlawful goods, fraud, drugs, or weapons sales.
Enforcement:
Users can report any violation in-app or by contacting support@cclivestream.com. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours. Violators face immediate stream termination, account suspension, and permanent device bans.
7. Tokens, Tickets & Apple In-App Purchases
Apple StoreKit: All tokens are purchased exclusively through Apple In-App Purchase (IAP) and governed by Apple Media Services Terms. Closed Circuit never handles credit card numbers directly.
Digital Nature: Tokens are virtual goods granting limited licenses to view private events. Tokens have no cash value outside Closed Circuit and cannot be transferred or traded between user accounts.
Ticket Redemption: When a viewer accepts and enters a ticketed live stream, the ticket token amount set by the creator is automatically deducted from their in-app wallet.
Refunds: Refund requests for in-app purchases are administered directly by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com to request a refund under Apple policies.
8. Creator Earnings & Payouts
Content creators receive earnings calculated from ticket tokens redeemed for their events, minus standard Apple StoreKit fees and platform operating costs. Payouts are made after standard verification and compliance checks. Creators are responsible for any applicable taxes.
9. Intellectual Property & Broadcast Rights
Broadcasters retain copyright ownership of their original live streams. By broadcasting on Closed Circuit, you grant us a limited technical license solely to encode, transcode, and route your live feed to authorized group members. For DMCA copyright notices, email support@cclivestream.com.
10. Account Deletion & Termination
Under Apple App Store Guideline 5.1.1(v), users can delete their account directly within the iOS app at any time:
In-App Deletion Steps:
Profile → Privacy & Security → Delete Account → Confirm.
Upon deletion, your account is immediately deactivated and your profile, group memberships, and invitations are permanently deleted from active databases.
11. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. CLOSED CIRCUIT DOES NOT GUARANTEE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE STREAMING, AS VIDEO TRANSMISSION DEPENDS ON DEVICE AND NETWORK PERFORMANCE. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CLOSED CIRCUIT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.
